No they can't, not at all. I've given up trying to fully understand girls, I'll take what little I know. But they do send out mixed messages sometimes and that is what really gets me... They have to always beat around the bush, just freaking say it or whatever. Geez.

I have been married for 37 years and still haven't a clue on how women think.

A girl flirting with you probably wants something free (I.E a drink). Atleast in the clubs.

But it's more fun to persuade them to give you a drink.

And women always use subtetly, so you don't know what the Fåck they want.

lol RR, I have heard that many times, just not 37 years. That's a long time so congrats that you have made it that far.

Well we weren't at a club or a bar or anything like that. It was more just a weird text message I got out of the blue and the answer I received... Just odd.

I hate people who dont talk straight...I rarely 'beat around the bush' .....this could also be the reason I never got very far with 'boys' at bars...I am TOO straight forward (if you ask me how I am feeling, you will get the real answer, not some pleasantry).

not all women are hard to figure out. I think its the fact that men dont hear the answers that women are giving---they only hear what they want to (or think they are hearing).

and my spouse and I have been together for going on....23 years, heck I need another vacation

What the hell?!?! YOU GOT POM-POMS!! BASTARD!

If I'm just talking to a girl normally, it's not a problem. But if you try to figure out if they like you, oh shit. That is a whole new can of worms. They can't just be straight about that, they simply have to much fun pushing our buttons and what not. Such a pain.

Try living on campus, would make it easier. But ya, being on campus for a LONG time when you don't live on campus sucks.

I lived ON campus all FOUR years I was in college, in the same dorm even!
good thing was my first year I dated a townie and was able to get some good home cooked meals (still think of his mom as my 2nd mom.)....and I had a car so I was able to get away from the campus basically whenever I wanted.
I never really had problems talking to guys as I was never the kind of girl anyone wanted to date (see UGHLY)....so that physical attraction problem was never really there.....and I grew up with 3 older brothers........

we had some kitchen issues tonight (a plugged up sink/disposal) so .........

we ate out

lol People on our campus still "do the things they like to do." lol

My parents live 20 minutes away but I don't go home that often. They want me to be "independent" or something like that. Ohhhh well. Whatever.

I don't think of myself as attractive, I find more girls like me more once they start to get to know me. Freshman year I had a whole floor of girls who liked me... Talk about a terrible situation! Sounds great, but not so much... Hang out with one, the rest are made at you. Hang out with all of them, they fight for your attention. Blagh, no win situation there. But sometimes it isn't that easy to tell if a girl likes you. They couldn't just be more open about it, have to be sneaky sneaky.

lol Tbh, I think that was written by a man. Because it made sure to leave out any important things. Those are all pretty self explanatory and if you have been around girls enough, common knowledge.

So you don't think a women would be inclined to admit that is what they meant? I don't either but some are more true than others.

ok, I admit sometimes it would be nice if I didnt have to say plain english to my husband to get stuff done, but alas his 'selective hearing loss' makes it so that its necessary to get things accomplished to say it in about 10 different ways.....(hoping one gets thru)

I do, however, start with exactly what I need to say (like you need to take out the trash NOW) and then move over to saying it other ways (hey that banana skin has grown legs...you think we should take it to a scientist for a sentence test?)

though...on valentines day I really want him to want to buy me something without my haggling him about it.....so alas this year, I got nothing (which is, I guess, what he feels about me). bought myself some chocolate and didnt share it with him after vday.

Most women would probably not admit that stuff. They'd give us the run around or something. >.>

I think everyone has some type of "selective hearing loss" when it comes down to it. And I'm sure your husband still loves you, but sometimes if a girl doesn't tell us what they want we don't know what to get them. We do run out of ideas eventually. oO

yes I have a very very very large heavy hammer that I use occasionally to get my point across or I just repeat myself 10 times or so thinking that perhaps ONE of those times the message will get thru.

I am a VERY easy person to buy for---I LOVE stuffed toy animals (gee that collection of 5000 or so wouldnt be a clue would it), I also collect key chains, magnets (need another place to put them as the fridge is full as are the few spots on the stove and washing machine)....and on the womenly side, shoes (but I dont expect anyone to buy those for me)....I love chocolate and cookies (gee that saying ...signature....wouldnt be a big clue to that would it).....I also have no problems with getting duplicates of any of the above items (some of my stuffed toys have almost a dozen or more exact copies...we call them brothers or sisters)...and extra boxes of chocolates...who (those that love chocolate) would NOT love to get that??????

so would it be all that hard to buy me something (remembering that he and I have been together since 1987)???
romantic isnt necessary neither is creativity. I gave up on that more than a decade ago.

romance is in the heart of the giver....my husbands heart ....well....it would be pretty dang hard to find that in there.....though I think he may think that some of the things he has done MAY be romantic.......but 99.9999999999999% of the population (thats men and women) would be hard pressed to consider it so.

had homemade coleslaw and very strange egg rolls for dinner (omaha steaks had phili cheese steak egg rolls.....not recommended)......

Romance is not something a guy really thinks about.

romance is in the eye of the beholder. and people, as we know, have very different opinions on these kinda things.

So romance for 1 person, might not be for 10 other persons.

Oh yes, honesty is far better than anything. People who don't say things straight annoys me. Just say it.
